We are only about half way through January, but I wanted to do another round-up of Naty Grams. Once again, I am going to fill you in on more than what you just see in my instagram captions. I have been trying to upload more of a variety of things too. Like I always say, there is way more to me than just what I wear. [On a side note, I will be getting into that a bit more once I launch my new blog design!] I have also not been stressing each post like I was before. I don't understand why the internet and social media makes so many of us feel like we need to look and be perfect all the time. None of us are and we all have flaws. I sure as hell do! I might even do a post on that. I promised myself that this year I am going to show more of me to everyone and that is exactly what I plan to do!
Hope you like this round-up of naty grams. :)
I've posted a few no make up and minimal makeup photos before, but to be honest there was always part of me that was hesitant to do so. But why? Women should be able to post a photo without a full face of makeup on and be confident to do so. You have to say, "This is me and I am owning that." I actually took this selfie via SnapChat (hence the graininess) after coming home from the gym last week. That was one of my other resolutions this year, to take better care of my body. I've been training with a friend the last few weeks and am already seeing some improvements. I can't wait to share more of that with you guys! It's crazy how in just a short amount of time, it has already made me feel so much better about myself.
I love my quotes! I always try and post the ones that really speak to me in the moment. This is seriously so true and you do have to be careful what you pick. I think we have all chosen a few people who are draining at one point or another in our lives. I know that I have in the past, probably too often. But now, I just want those who inspire me and motivate me. I think it's important to surround yourself with people who make you want to be better.
I took this photo in the car, (shame on me!) but I could not pass up the opportunity to get this shot. I don't stop enough to appreciate these little things in life. I mean, look how beautiful that sunset is!
Alright guys, this is what I wear at home most of the time. Sweats, fuzzy socks and slippers for the win. :) I posted this on instagram because I wanted to show that I am not always dressed up. There are plenty of times when I don't even want to get dressed at all, especially this time of year! I am sure I will post more of these from time to time.
I did some organizing and it felt so good! I have to be honest though not long after this photo I ended up rearranging this a bit more again. I had to fill one of the spots with my clutches. I got this cubicle shelf awhile back and it was just filled with clutter for way too long. A clean space really does = a clean mind.
I took this photo of the Empire State Building right before going into Sunday Service last weekend. I don't often talk about my faith, but another huge resolution for me this year was to build a closer relationship with God. I used to go to church all the time, but as I got older I went less and less. Last year I went through some personal struggles and I just knew that I needed to start going back. I found a church that I truly feel connected to and it inspires me so much. It's only been 3 weeks so far, but in such a short amount of time I have already begun to feel more inner peace. I've laughed, I've cried and it's been extremely therapeutic. I hope to share more of this again at some point.
This was the same night as the photo above. I've always wanted a cool shot in the subway, but I was actually nervous to ask my friend to take it because she hatesss taking pics lol. So I said can you pleaseeee take a super fast pic for me and I promise I will love it no matter what. So she did and I did haha. Thankful for supportive friends even when I can be a pain in their butts. I changed this to black and white to give it an old New York City feel.
I hope you do as I know that I will. I really can't stress how important it is to not get caught up in the negativity of others. I mean believe me, I have been there and done that and it's not pretty. It's no way to spend your time or your life. I have been trying to get more quotes like this for my office and found this one at Target. Filling your space with positivity and motivation definitely helps to start your day off on the right foot.
My face in this photo is basically saying, "I hate you winter." Haha I hate when I make that face. I was with my friend Chevy and we passed by the park and saw the beautiful backdrop so decided to stop for a quick photo. I was freezing though and it had also just started raining, but I'm crazy so I got out for a photo anyway. I know, I know, I should probably stay in the car next time.
Ok, so in contradiction to the previous photo, this one is saying I love the winter. lol Well, I do love the snow, but only when I do not have to drive in it or shovel in it! It's pretty and sometimes fun, but I only love it for the first few moments. I tried to show my appreciation for it though as I am sure if it never snowed here I would miss it. Life is funny like that.
I had to share my #MCM, (man crush Monday) Ryan Guzman. Please insert a ton of heart in the eyes emojis. If I ever meet him, my life shall be complete.
Kiko woke up like this. No, he really did. I die for him he is seriously like a little human. I try and share more photos of him and Mikey because they are just too cute. They have their own instagram too lol It's crazy how small they both are yet they take up my entire bed and I find myself sleeping in the corner.
Happy hump day babes!
