On Sunday I went to SoHo and came across this graffiti heart wall and could not resist taking a photo (or 5). It reminded me of Austin and all of the amazing street art that seemed to be on every corner. In connection to my most recent Naty Grams post, where I talked about how I feel during my frequent commutes into the city, I am really focused on appreciating the good parts about it. I am so drawn to graffiti walls, mostly because they force us to stop for a second and take notice. Our lives are so fast paced and we are always on the go that sometimes we don't really see what is around us. Street art tends to stop you in your tracks, it draws you in, and even if just for a second causes you to appreciate that very moment of where you are and what you are doing. Then, we want to capture it so we take a photo and then we share that photo with others. At least for me, that's what it does. So I just wanted to share this wall and send some love notes to you all from the corner of Prince Street. <3
When I go to the city during the day just for play, I am all about comfort. I put this look together last minute without much thought to be honest. I was in a rush and sort of grabbed whatever I could that was in reach in hopes that something would come together. I love this oversized button down paired with this boyfriend denim jacket. It's got a super relaxed and casual feel when combined. I left a few of the top buttons undone so that I could layer up my necklaces. I typically always tuck my button down shirts in, but this time I let it hang out. I completed the outfit with my white pointy flats that I've become kind of obsessed with. :)
Happy Thursday everyone! Lots of love to you all. <3
