Long time no see! We've been blogging for four years now but we never took a longer break. This was the first time and it was so horrible, for almost two months we had no time to take care of our blog and post. I really hope we never have to do this again, but who knows. Life is full of surprises and our lives are pretty hectic. We are in the stage of our life where we have to take pretty big decisions and have to plan out our life. But we don't want to give up blogging.
Anyway, after my stressful and somehow successful exam period, I had the chance to go to the Gala UAD. A good friend of mine graduated this year the Design University and she invited me to this great event. For those of you who don't know what this is, basically, some of the students who graduate have to show their work in front of a lot of influential people. It is a huge event, fashionable people come from Bucharest all the way to Cluj just for this. So I was really excited when Aliz invited me, and I realised it is after my exams.
I decided to wear something minimalistic, black & white, something that is not my style at all, but I really loved the final result. I knew most of the people would wear black or white and I was so right. Plus this skirt always gets a lot of attention when I wear it out, so this was the perfect time to wear it. I accessorised it with gold, and voila!

Alíz took me backstage where I snapped some photos of her and her wonderful collection and I could get an insight into the hectic world that goes on before a big show. I have to say it was a great experience, so many amazing people working together, pretty models and stressed designers. I was afraid someone would steal my perfect seat, so I rushed back to my place and waited for the show to start. Of couse it was "fashionably" late, but at least I had some time to talk with others bloggers and take some photos, which I haven't found anywhere yet. If I do, I will probably post it on my Instagram account, so be sure to follow me! @saci_cfc

I decided to show you guys five of my favorite collections. Of course there were many more that caught my attention.I am pretty bad at describing clothes and talking about different styles. But all I have to say is that I really love every single one of these looks because of their unique cut, style, prints, and just the whole concept. Of course you probably won't see anything like this on the streets, but that's the whole point. To create something big, bold and brave. Plus, I am pretty sure any fashionista could pull off any item styled differently on the streets also.  So without any order, here are my top 5 collections.

Alíz Simon - Nouvelle Ère

Nouvelle ere is a kind of time-traveling collection, inspired by American sport-wear and also uniform from the 50’s and 60’s. The main words what describes the collection is very complex. The rythm, dinamism and minimalism suggests the source of inspiration, at the same time the finished creations are fresh, relevant, consistent and wearable. The symmetric and asymmetric outfit-composition gives a harmony for each product.
The concept focuses on the history of American sports and sportswear, and the feelings from the 50’s and 60’s. The sportswear elements are the main caracteristics of the collection with a contemporan fashion attitude and realized with  sofisticated materials, what gives a fresh look for the products. Pure details, digital-print and embroidery gives an intresting look to the creations. These details transmit a pure reflexion about emotions, and the voluminous constructions suggests the power of the contemporan / modern women.

Isabela Teodor: La vita e bella

The concept of the collection "La vita è bella" seeks the contrast between the feelings transmited through this movie and the hostile period presented by it. There are highlighted the efforts made by the need of making clothing out of unconventional materials, in an austere context. The printings are made by colouring the materials with textile paintings using only household items. The glow and the texture obtained by this method, the chameleon and metallic colors describe the personality of the character of this collection, and at the same time the need of seeing the life in an optimistical and positive way, no matter the context.

Linda Szabó: Parallels

"Parallels" involves an investigation of the military suit of the Second World War, and an investigation of the "New Look", by Christian Dior. Two opposite styles, from two different conditions of life, running in parallel, both belonging to the 40s. The currency of parallelism drawn between the conditions of life of our days is an important issue. War and luxury, two elements in great contrast, represent the underlying concept. This theme suggests force and eternal femininity through elegance, introducing also masculine features through the military suit, and also defining a complex character. The collection has a fresh, consistent and easy to wear  look, intended for people who love original matchings.

Magdalena Butnariu: Spirit Amara - " An ye harm none, do what ye will"

The Spirit Amara Collection provides an outlook on the spiritual universe of an individual who belongs the Wicca cult. This individual is  subordinated to the occult belief, and his spiritual environment is outlined by the significance of nature, by the selection and joining of the positive aspects of the two existing belief systems – Left Hand Path (the dark beliefs, pessimistic, death) and Right Hand Path (the bright beliefs, favorable, life) and both of them should be used to achieve a balance.
Wicca is a harmonious living within the natural rhythm of life forces, which are marked by the lunar phases. Wicca celebrates the four seasons and is embedded in the belief in five elements: air, fire, water, earth, and spirit. As a gift to the people, reason gives them a unique responsibility towards the environment. They must live an existence in union with nature. They must find a balance between life and death, optimism and pessimism, as nothing exists beyond nature.
"In my journey to Spirit Amara, I was inspired by the long walks in nature and by my love for the beauty of what nature created. All these led me to research the Wicca cult in which I find myself. Wicca is the religion of Earth, a symbol of freedom, joy, peace and love, born from the close connection that exists between people and nature. Humans are created by nature, the same as the earth is created by the universe.
I was also inspired by the works of the artists: Jorge Mayet , Adriane Colburn, Onishi Yasuaki, Makoto Azuma, Nobuhiro Nakani, Takashi Amano and also by the books: “Nature Religion Today, Paganism in the Modern World”- Joanne Pearson,A Witches’ Bible” – Janet & Stewart Farrar, “Solitary Wicca for life, A Complete guide to Mastering the Craft on Jour Own” - Arin Murphy-Hiscock."

Nadejda Iacubina: Mărită-mă, mamă!

The concept of this collection is based on the reconstruction and deconstruction of the folk costume from the perspective of a personal vision, brought into modernity. It's a unique vision of the tradition of Țara Moților  (Stone Land) specifically the women’s fair  on Muntele Găina (Mount chicken) where the tradition of marriage had a sacred meaning. Marriageable girls who wanted to be petitioned by men started preparing in time for the  meetings on the mountain where often, even weddings were held. Such  a wedding brought happiness to them. Young people have different reasons for deciding to join their destinies, that being either love, obligation or interest. Whatever that may be, bridal events have a festive and spectacular ritual and their traditions are kept very strictly. My goal was to accentuate the  sacro-profane link  that is tied during the wedding ceremony.
