It's been extremely hot in the 90s lately, so it might seem a bit crazy that I've got on a cardigan in the middle of the summer.  However, some days are not as hot & humid as others and most of the time there is a cool summer breeze, especially at night.  :)

Maxi cardigans are a great layering piece for denim cut offs and it's probably my favorite way to wear them.  It also helps when you are wearing a pair of shorts that might just be a bit too short!  I also love cardigans like this as a transitional item when switching into the fall season.  Keep in mind that I am only 4'11, so if you are short like me don't let these long cardigans discourage you.  You can totally rock them!


 I decided to style this one with my favorite denim shorts.  I know you have seen these a lot on the blog over the past few months.  I feel like they're the perfect distressed pair.  I decided to keep this entire look neutral and then I added in a pop of print with my leopard clutch.  I also put on these mirrored aviators for a fun element. An outfit like this is simple, comfortable and perfect for a casual day or night out during the summer.
