This is what I like to call, “Lumberjack Chic.” December is all about having fun with winter fashion, while making sure you stay extra warm and cozy. I love finding new and different pieces, especially outerwear, so I got a little excited when I found this poncho/cape at Nordstrom Rack over the weekend for less than $50. It’s so unique and I have not seen anything like it. This red and black plaid print is right on trend and I especially loved the cream shearling collar. It’s super relaxed with a feminine touch. I decided to pair it with a black sweater, black leggings and my comfy combat boots for more of a casual look. I also added a cream scarf to bring a nice contrast to the red and black outfit. I think one of the best ways to make a fashion statement during the winter is with your outerwear so don’t hesitate to experiment with bold prints & colors.
December is also about holiday shopping and gift giving! I went to Nordstrom Rack with my sister and carefully watched all of the things that she was lusting over. Now I have to go back and get her a couple of those things for Christmas! Hopefully she is not reading this post. There was a great selection of cashmere beanies, gloves and scarves from 14th & Union. She fell in love with a Michael Kors leather jacket that was marked down to $200 from $420. The sweater section was another one of her favorites because there were so many styles to choose from, especially long & oversized cardigans. If you still need to get your holiday shopping done, I definitely suggest heading over to Nordstrom Rack for great deals and a huge selection for everyone in the family. :)
